5 Motivating Songs

Day 8 of the #NurseBlogger challenge. I literally listen to everything and the fact that I have to pick only 5 motivating songs is terrible lol. When you finally have to think through every single song to pick only 5, it’s pretty difficult, so this is what I came up with. At this point in my life, I’m attracted to songs that make me feel good about myself. If you were to ask 1 million people to pick 5 motivating songs, each person is going to have a different list. Songs motivate people and impact people’s emotions in such different ways. It’s pretty amazing how our brains are wired to process thoughts and songs so differently between people. Anyways, these are the 5 motivating songs that I came up with!

1. Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey!

This one is a classic. You can’t listen to this song and not be hype, like c’mon! You can act all chill driving in the car when this song comes on but we alllll know that when that chorus hits, you basically become Journey and the air guitar does come out. I’ve done it, you’ve done it. No judgement, no shame.

2. Titanium by David Guetta & Sia

Sia has one of the most interesting voices but it’s so beautiful! All her music is pretty good. Of all her songs, this one is the one that never seems to get old. The combo with David Guetta DJ-ing is great. For me, it’s usually a workout pick me up. Yes, I do sing the chorus very loud, and yes I may, or may not head bang to it. Don’t judge me. Definitely a fave!

3. Most Girls by Hailee Steinfeld

This songs makes me feel like a badass! Hailee Steinfeld makes me feel like a queen who does great things in the world and it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. Like, I don’t even need no man, I just need to marry her if she’s going to make me feel this dang good on the daily!

4. Feelin’ Myself by Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé

THIS SONG MAKES ME FEEL MYSELF. My inner Beyoncé comes out, ya’ll. Yes, I know every word and I have absolutely NO SHAME WHATSOEVER. Me and my best friend may or may not jam out to this song in the car on the way home from the gym, on full blast.

5. Girl On Fire by Alicia Keys

Besides the phenomenal voice singing this song, the lyrics are pretty perfect.

Thanks for reading, friends! I’d love to know what some of your favorite songs are! 🙂

  1. Your motivational song list is so inspiring! I too like to throw on some Beyonce for an empowering moment, I turn her up and dance around my room like I’m in the music video. Hailee Steinfeld is a sweetie, she is so freaking cool! I adore her innocence yet she understands herself and knows how to embrace her sexiness without trying too hard and overdoing it. Really cool blog post topic 🙂
